The Deeply Rooted and Subtle Islamophobia of the West

Three decades after the Dayton Peace Agreement, Bosnia and Herzegovina remains trapped in a complex political system marked by deadlock, division, and institutional paralysis. This article examines whether such an arrangement was merely a necessary compromise to end the war or a reflection of deeper geopolitical interests and prejudices that shaped the West's approach to Bosnia and Herzegovina during and after the conflict.
